Rant on German TV
this weekend's the LOST finale run (at least in the U.S. and some other manner without, of course not in Germania). I have followed the series only in summaries and summaries, as I was by some of the descriptions and references here and there, curious and have tried to figure out what it is for there now is all about. It has never appealed to me but so much that I would have considered "correct". And GOD I AM GLAD NOW THAT I HAVE SO NO TIME WASTED! Quenched
I had, inter alia, that the producers und Autoren schon bei der ersten Staffel in Interviews erwähnt hatten, daß sie nicht vorhätten, einige der Rätsel auf der Insel aufzuklären (u.a. die Bedeutung der Zahlen, die immer wieder auftauchen). HALLO?! Machen wir jetzt hier einen auf Evangelion?! Einfach irgendwelche Andeutungen an die Köpfe der Zuschauer schmeißen, sollen die sich selbst was dazu ausdenken?
Also kurzum: Ich hatte schon relativ früh den Eindruck, daß LOST nicht "meine" Art von Serie ist und hab´s mir erspart. Was ich jetzt vom Ende der Serie, und von den Reaktionen der Fans auf dieses Ende, mitbekomme, sieht ganz danach aus, als ob ich mit dem Eindruck richtig gelegen habe.

More precisely, to spoil without the fate of Sam Tyler in "LOM" so to speak, what the fate of the heroine in "Ashes to Ashes" makes it all possible, and of course, is expected to "ATA" also repeatedly mentioned how "LOM" is. So that makes total sense, this series before the 2nd view Season LOM ... if one wants to spoil this.

have made something similar with "Farscape". Because they radiate the first 3 seasons, but this already in a rhythm that is both the port is losing the story and the like (see also Stargate, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica): About half a season, then pause, then first-time reps, then a handful of new episodes (which can easily miss if you look at the reps, not all is doing), then pause, repeats all previously aired episodes, then a handful of new, then pause ... Hello? I would like to maybe someday even know what to do next?
The 3rd and 4 Season in the regular TV at all never run. Only on Premiere. The 4th there was even aired only once unsynchronosiert. But they do show, however - mind you, years later, when fans remember almost exclusively on Farscape - The Peacekeeper Wars miniseries. Directly because starts where the 4th Season has ended and clarifies the issues that this has left open. The damned do not make sense if the 4th Season does not know. The way in Germany it is not even on DVD.

Not only are always bought in itself interesting series, played, and the audience then often left to hang without a sequel, while the series elsewhere happily goes on and on (whether the soaps are now, sitcoms or shows like Doctor Who).
Sometimes you get laid is also unfinished series that were never completed or canceled early: I'm just Nowhere Man, Surface, and now - just announced with much publicity - Bionic Woman.
It really is not fun, in the German television (and no matter whether pay TV, or so-called "Free TV") engage in series.
